Hi all, I deleted this song's CD which I posted to the MUSIC column on 1/24/09 and tried it on Scarlet Bird (Zhuque).

I like the bridges and top board. No dents on board although it's very hard to tune the lower strings. I still in need to play more to open the sound.

Hi Seena:

I recently loaned my ScarletBird SE to someone who's from out-of-town to do a performance. She complimented on my SE but also said the same thing about hard to tune lowest octave and cannot do the an yin or hua yin properly. Yukina did mentioned ScarletBird string are harder could that be the problem. I have the SE since 2008, and did not encountered the tuning problem.

Hi, i. guzheng,
It's usually hard to tune the lower strings because of their thicknesses and far distances between the bridges and the front hill. We can move the bridges more to the right hand side and then loose the strings with wrench. Thats easier to tune and bring the sounds according the tuner. However we need to train our fingers strength to do the an yin and hua yin.
I don't prefer the original scarlet bird strings. I like to replace all if I have
10A. You have a different Model ?

Hi Seena:

Mine is the ScarletBird SE (Special Edition) from Yukina. I have the clip-on tuner, sometimes I have to clip onto the wrench in order to get accurate tuning. So far so good.
